Cet album immortalise le concert électrisant de Bruce Springsteen et du E Street Band à l'Estadio River Plate de Buenos Aires, en Argentine, le 15 octobre 1988, lors de la tournée Human Rights Now! Human Rights Now! était une tournée mondiale de vingt concerts caritatifs au profit d'Amnesty International, qui s'est déroulée sur six semaines en 1988.
Ces concerts ont réuni Bruce Springsteen et le E Street Band, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman et Youssou N'Dour, ainsi que des artistes invités de chaque pays hôte.
On y retrouve des classiques de Springsteen tels que Born in the U.S.A., Dancing in the Dark, I'm on Fire, Glory Days, My Hometown et bien d'autres.
Sting rejoint le groupe sur scène pour interpréter The River et une superbe reprise de Chimes of Freedom de Bob Dylan.
